PREMATURE EJACULATION

Ejaculation is the fourth phase of the sexual response cycle, following desire, arousal, and orgasm. It is a reflex action during which semen is released and is largely regulated by the central nervous system.

Ejaculation disorders are a common form of sexual dysfunction in men, with premature ejaculation being the most prevalent.

Premature ejaculation is defined as the inability to control ejaculation, resulting in a significantly reduced time from penetration to ejaculation—often less than one minute. This condition causes distress both on a personal level and within the sexual relationship.

The loss of control over ejaculation can be continuous or intermittent and may even be present from the beginning of a man’s sexual life. Additionally, its severity can vary from case to case.

Premature ejaculation affects a large percentage of men, regardless of age. Approximately 1 in 5 men experience ejaculation problems, making it one of the most common sexual issues among men under 60 years old.

Loss of control often leads to anxiety, performance pressure, frustration, reduced sexual pleasure, aversion to sexual activity, anger, interpersonal relationship difficulties, and even erectile dysfunction.

TREATMENT

The treatment of premature ejaculation remains largely challenging.

Until now, management has primarily focused on pharmacological therapy and psychosexual counseling.

PHARMACOLOGICAL THERAPY

Pharmacological treatment of premature ejaculation is largely symptomatic, addressing the symptom without curing the underlying problem, whose cause remains largely unknown. The use of topical anesthetics applied to the penis, oral medications, or combinations of these yield varying results, often with low success rates.

Moreover, pharmacological treatments frequently have side effects that may negatively impact sexual desire and erectile function as secondary effects. They also tend to eliminate spontaneity during sexual activity. These factors contribute to the high rates of non-compliance with treatment.

PSYCHOSEXUAL TREATMENT

Psychosexual therapy is a very important tool in managing premature ejaculation. Alongside specific techniques aimed at improving control over ejaculation, it enables men to cope with the negative emotions associated with the condition and to address related issues with greater flexibility.

MY HIXEL

The MYHIXEL method represents a significant innovation in the treatment of premature ejaculation. It is designed both for men who experience this issue chronically and for those who wish to gain better control over ejaculation and prolong the duration of intercourse.

MY HIXEL METHOD

The method is based on SCT (Sphincter Control Training), a physiotherapy program with proven effectiveness in treating premature ejaculation, combined with sensate focus techniques.

It is the only method that integrates CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) techniques with technology, achieving the best possible results.
